JC Penney Launches Facebook E-Commerce Store
In a move that mashes up e-commerce with social media, JC Penney has announced the launch of a system where "fans" of the brand can make purchases on JC Penney's Facebook page.
This seems like a wise step forward, given the already strong and still growing presence of social media in the marketing industry. Bringing e-commerce to Facebook makes it that much easier to convert potential customers into buyers.

Strong Growth For Local Online Advertising
Local online advertising is on the upswing, according to this eMarketer article from earlier this Fall.
It's only natural that online advertising grows as our society becomes increasingly digital, but it's interesting to note the degree of growth here. Forward-thinking companies should be taking all this into serious consideration as they create marketing and advertising budgets from here on out.
